Come visit us next Friday, 4 December, 5-8 pm for Downtown Ithaca’s First Friday Gallery Night, where we will be unveiling a new children’s book by Rob Costello with illustrations by Alice Muhlback: Ely Crimpbottom and the Girl Who Fell From the Sky
From the back cover:
For a talented daydreamer like Ely Crimpbottom, living in the Town of Sensible is a real drag. Every one of Ely’s neighbors is serious, solemn, subdued, sour, surly, and so many other boring and unpleasant “s” words you’d really need your dictionary to keep up. There are no trees left in town because they’ve all been chopped down by the evil Avery Chopper to make footstools! Worse yet, nobody in town even celebrates the holidays!
Or at least it was that way until the night the little girl fell from the sky. Strange and wonderful things begin to happen when she arrives, and soon, the townsfolk of Sensible discover that it is the most sensible of all to celebrate the fruits of the holiday season -– joy, hope, spirit, and love!
